Ranwa is a local performer whose Lebanese heritage has made
her a natural dancer with a deep passion for Middle Eastern
music and culture. She has performed extensively in the Central
Florida area as a soloist and as a principal dancer in Suspira's
Orlando Dance Theater. She has traveled abroad to perform in
the "Goddess of the Veil Tour" in Detroit and Toronto.
Additionally she is a founding member of the UCF
Shimmy
Knights and a previous member of Najla's Troupe Echta. She
hosts the Annual
Enchanted Twilight -a Belly Dancing
Fund-Raiser for Special Olympics- and has danced for many
other charitable events- such as the Children's Miracle Network,
Relay for Life and a Gift for Teaching.
Ranwa truly enjoys sharing the beautiful art of Belly
Dance to all. Known for her strong percussive dance
style and her outgoing personality, Ranwa is surely a
rising star in the world of Belly Dance!
Ranwa volunteera her time with Special Olympics Seminole
County. She serves the Management Team year-round as
Fundraising and Recruitment Chairman. She also volunteers
as a coach for over 6 sports. Her younger Down Syndrome
brother, the athletes and the coaches are all very close to her
heart. She hopes her dancing will help support these truly
special athletes! She currently teaches a group of special
needs bellydancers sponsored through the City of Altamonte
Springs. This group-
Troupe Moumayaza- has performed at
many local events and is growing in talent and popularity.
